I always enjoy those first few minutes at an event. People arrive, look around, spot someone they know. Someone stops for a chat while another person finds a quiet corner to finish their coffee. The room slowly fills up, and before long, the day is underway.
I've photographed all sorts of events, and no two have felt quite the same. Some last a couple of hours, while others carry on from morning until evening. That's one reason corporate event photographer cost can vary. Every event has its own plans, people and little moments that make it what it is.
A Few Hours or the Whole Day?
Sometimes, a short gathering is all it takes. Other times, there's a lot more to the day, from the first guests arriving to speeches, meetings and conversations that carry on after everything has officially finished.
When looking at event photographer prices in London, it's worth thinking about which parts of the day you'd like to remember. An event photographer hourly rate might suit a smaller gathering, while the half-day event photography cost could make more sense if there's more happening over several hours.
A conference has its own rhythm, too. There may be speakers on stage, people meeting during breaks and conversations happening away from the main room. These details can all affect conference photography rates in the UK.
It Depends on the Day
When someone asks me for an event photography quote, I like to hear a little about what they're planning. How long will the event last? What's happening during the day? Are there particular moments they'd like me to look out for?
I know what's planned for the day, but I never want to spend the whole time looking at the schedule. There's the speaker on stage, of course, but there's also the people listening, the smiles across the room and the chats that start once it's all over. I like being able to move between those moments and see what happens.
Let's Talk About Your Event
There's no single price that fits every event. It really depends on what you're planning and the coverage you need.
If you're organising an event in London, I'd love to hear about it. Get in touch with Jonny Donovan Photography and tell me a little about your plans. We can talk through the day, what you'd like captured, and put together a photography quote that makes sense for you.
