Events always seem to pass more quickly than you expect. One minute the room is filling with familiar faces, someone is topping up a glass, conversations are just beginning. Before long, the evening has found its rhythm, and then, almost without warning, it's over.
People often ask me about event photography prices in London, and I understand why. It's one of the first things you look at when you're planning an event. But I always think there's another question worth asking before that. When the room is empty again, what is it you hope you'll remember?

I also hear people ask, how much does an event photographer cost in the UK? Or they're trying to understand the corporate event photography cost for an upcoming event.
The truth is, every photographer sees a day differently.
Some are looking for the schedule. I'm usually looking for the people inside it.
The conversations before the speeches begin. The quiet smile between colleagues who haven't seen each other in years. The moment someone forgets they're being photographed because they're completely caught up in what's happening around them. Those are the moments I find myself coming back to.
The Moments You Never Plan For
No one adds these moments to a running order.
They're the laugh that travels across the room. A hand on someone's shoulder after a long conversation. The speaker taking one slow breath before stepping onto the stage. Someone standing quietly at the back, taking it all in.
These moments come and go in seconds. They're easy to miss if you're trying too hard to find them. I prefer to let the event unfold and simply be there as the story finds its own shape.
It's Never Just About the Time

Sometimes the first photograph that matters happens before anyone has arrived. Sometimes it's the last conversation of the evening, long after the formal part of the event has finished.
